Rather than following in step with purveyors of quick fixes, Patty and Scott and the Breathing Room team have developed one-on-one strength training and weight control programs around the philosophy that gradual change is more effective and long-lasting. Gradual change is more manageable, gradual change takes the pressure off —gradual change works.
The Breathing Room name became the perfect choice for this new concept for several reasons. Breathing Room presents an alternative to the hubbub of urban life —a literal "breathing room"— for clients. Proper breathing patterns are essential for effective strength training. Mindfulness practice often uses the technique of watching the breath as a focal point. And last but not least, when you lose weight, you gain a little more "breathing room" in your clothes!
